In accordance with the spirit and letter of the Vienna Convention of 23 May 1969, which recognizes the essential role played by treaties in the history of international relations, and noting the increasing importance of treaties as a source of international law and as a means to promote peaceful cooperation among nations regardless of their differences in state and social systems, the International Parliament for Security and Peace has decided
– Taking into account the existence of a specialized institute under the aegis of the IUHAC International Superior Council of Science (France, Paris), namely the International Institute of Intellectual Property (IIPI) acting in accordance with the Vienna Convention, to entrust the IIPI with the execution of necessary actions and measures for protection of intellectual property within the framework of the mandate of the International Parliament for Security and Peace established by the terms of the Vienna Convention of 23 May 1969.
